Kerala MLA PK Sasi said to media that he has the strength of a communist to face any action taken by the party against him. The MLA faces sexual abuse charge filed against him.
Palakkad: Kerala MLA PK Sasi, who is an accused in a sexual abuse case, said that the media is hounding him even without a police complaint against. A woman leader from the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) raised a sexual harassment complaint against CPM MLA (Shoranur) PK Sasi in Kerala.
The complaint letter was submitted to CPM general secretary Sitaram Yechury. The letter stated that MLA Sasi tried to grab her after calling her to Mannarkad area committee office.
Sasi said he has the strength of a communist to face any action taken by the party. “I know that I have not committed any crime. However, if the party convince me that I have made a mistake, then I am ready to accept any punishment,” said Sasi to media while he arrived for an area committee meeting in Cherpulassery.
He also said the party would conduct an investigation when a complaint is received against any member of the party. This is standard procedure.
The lady also alleged that the MLA would constantly harass her. He reportedly made several clandestine phone calls. The woman also submitted a 15-minute long audio clip with the complaint.
