Thulasi had earlier apologised about the controversial remark. “It was by mistake and I said that due to an emotional outburst,” said Thulasi to media. He also said that he expressed his emotion as a devotee of Lord Ayyappa.
Meanwhile, Kerala Congress MLA PC George has also said that he firmly believes that women with some sense of decency would not take part in the state government’s movement - the women's wall.
George had expressed this view during his inaugural speech at the main conference of Sabarimala Samrakshana Samithi at Kannanallur in Kollam district.
Kerala is currently witnessing widespread rallies, marches and roadblocks marked by protests led by Hindu outfits against the LDF-led Kerala government's decision to implement the Supreme Court verdict on Sabarimala.
At the same time, many Ayyappa devotees have said that the CPI(M), under the leadership of Pinarayi Vijayan, has been bulldozing its way into the Lord’s abode. Some have even demanded the resignation of the Kerala chief minister following the Sabarimala fiasco.
