A yellow alert has been issued in Idukki and Pathanamthitta districts for Tuesday
Thiruvananthapuram: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that there may be heavy rainfall in one or two places in Kerala. There is a possibility of seven to 11 cm rainfall in the state. There is also a possibility of 12 to 20 cm of heavy rain in some parts of the state on October 5.
IMD also said that the south-west part of the Arabian Sea would likely have lower pressure on October 6.
On October 7 and 8, it is predicted that this lowering of pressure will move to the north-west of the Arabian sea and heavy rainfall will be seen.
The Kerala State Disaster Management Authority (KSDMA) has also directed that fishermen from the state should not be allowed to go into the Arabian Sea till October 6 due to high pressure.
