NSS general secretary G Sukumaran Nair slams chief minister for promoting fake secularism to promote atheism in the state

Kottayam: Nair Service Society (NSS) general secretary G Sukumaran Nair issued a strong warning to the state government. In a press meet, G Sukumaran Nair said "don't play with NSS".

"The state government is trying to generate fake secularism to promote atheism in the state,” Nair told media.

NSS is allegedly facing threats for its stand against the entry of women of menstruating age into Sabarimala temple in Kerala. Earlier, Kottayam NSS office was attacked. The office at Kiliroor in Kottayam was vandalised last week.

Today, NSS Karayoga building in Melamcode, Trivandrum, was attacked. The miscreants smashed the glass cover of the Chattampi Swami’s statue installed at the top of the building. After that, they placed the wreath at the bottom of the flagpole.

NSS was one of the first organisations that approached the Supreme Court with its review petition. NSS alleged that the attacks were carried out by those who hated Sukumaran Nair, who had opposed entry of all women in Sabarimala.

Nair also said that the NSS will stand strong regarding the Sabarimala issue and will not bow down to the threats of the state government.
