Kerala floods: Flights resume from Kochi naval base (video)

Flights are now available to and from Kochi naval base. They will operate to and from Coimbatore, Hyderabad and Bangalore after the Navy activated its airstrips to accommodate small passenger aircraft. The first flight, an Alliance Air ATR plane landed early this morning at the INS Garuda naval air station. Indigo and Spicejet will also make a trial run today (August 20). The main Kochi airport will remain closed till August 26 as water is yet to recede from the facility.
