Kerala: Corpse of unidentified woman found floating in River Periyar

Kochi: Citizens of Kochi were shocked to the see the corpse of an unidentified woman (aged around 30 years) floating in the River Periyar, with a stone tied to it. The incident came to light on Tuesday evening.  

Not ruling out the angle of murder, the Kochi Police have prima facie found out that the corpse was left hanging to a tree, before it was found afloat.

In order to ascertain the identity of the deceased, the police have begun perusing the file related missing complaints in the nearby police stations.
