Union minister Ananth Kumar's death: Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan expresses condolences

Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan condoled the death of union minister Ananth Kumar.

Union minister for parliamentary affairs HN Ananth Kumar, who was undergoing treatment in London, came down to Bengaluru a few days ago and he continued to be in a critical condition, according to sources in the BJP.

Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan condoled the death of union minister Ananth Kumar. "Deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Union Minister Shri. Ananth Kumar. My deepest sympathies go out to his family, friends and colleagues (SIC)," Vijayan said in a Tweet.

Ananth Kumar, who was the chemicals and fertilisers minister, was undergoing treatment at a cancer hospital in the city. Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan and Union home minister Rajnath Singh had visited Ananth Kumar in the hospital. On November 12, Ananth Kumar died at 2 AM following complications with respect to his cancer.

Ananth Kumar' s wife Tejaswini had earlier said that he was under artificial breather. Ananth Kumar had been in the ICU and on the ventilator the last few days.

After battling cancer for several months, Kumar passed away early this morning.
