Kerala man was stabbed to death in Karnataka for not knowing Kannada.
Bengaluru: Kerala native, Gowtham Krishna, was killed after a late-night fight with two unidentified men near Mysore Bank Circle on Saturday. Ernakulam native Krishna came to Bangalore on October 8 hunting for a job. He found a job in a private company near Halasuru police station. He had taken his friends to a bar near Majestic on Friday night and was killed while returning home.
Krishna was taking a selfie with his friends, and two people came on a bike, allegedly confronted them for taking a selfie on the road. This incident led to a fight between them and Krishna. Later, Krishna was stabbed to death.
Krishna's friend Vishak said to the police that Krishna had answered in Malayalam, which made them angry. They repeatedly asked Krishna whether he knows Kannada and still Krishna replied in Malayalam, Vishak said.
Krishna was immediately taken to the hospital, but doctors declared him dead. Police have started the investigation and are checking the CCTV footage to ascertain the identity of the killers.
