Srinagar: On Sunday morning, security forces in Kashmir ended another successful anti-terror operation with the killing of three Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorists in the outskirts of Srinagar.

In one of the longest encounters lasting for around 18 hours, the youngest terrorist of the Valley, identified as Mudassir Parrey of Hajin Bandipore, was killed by security forces. Mudassir had joined terror outfit LeT days ago and the outfit was trying to make him the "poster boy" to radicalise the youth of Kashmir to join their so-called demand of "Azaadi".

The 14-year-old terrorist was killed along with his recruiter, a Pakistani terrorist, in the Srinagar encounter. The Pakistani terrorist, identified as Ali, was involved in a series of target killings of security personals and had carried attacks on security establishments. Ali was the backbone of the terror outfit in the area as he was involved in recruitments in Hajin and Sumbal areas of Bandipora.

Sources told MyNation that Ali had brainwashed Mudassir to join terror ranks and after he joined LeT, Mudassir was moving along with Ali and Saqib Bilal Sheikh, the third terrorist killed in the encounter. The police on Saturday launched a massive cordon and search operation in the area after specific inputs about the presence of terrorists in the area.

Police sources told MyNation that newly recruited terrorist Mudassir shared his location with one of the locals, which proved to be a suicidal move for the trio hiding in the area.
