Kashmir: 7 jawans injured after Jaish-e-Mohammad attacks Army's Casper vehicle

Srinagar: Seven jawans of the Army were injured in a terror attack aimed at a Casper vehicle in Pulwama district of south Kashmir on Thursday. The vehicle was damaged in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast.

The attack took place at around 9.50pm when the terrorists triggered the IED planted under the Trichal-Lassipora Road bridge. 

"Soon after the attack, whole area was cordoned off by the security forces and a manhunt has been launched to nab the terrorists," a senior police officer told MyNation.

Three cricitically injured jawans were airlifted to the 92 base hospital of the Army, while the other four were taken to a nearby hospital.

Claiming responsibility for the attack, terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) in its statement, said that they had killed three Indian Army jawans and injured seven others. The JeM also claimed that the Indian Army's Casper vehicle was completely destroyed in the terror attack.
