Srinagar: Indian security forces, on Thursday, have gunned down one terrorist in Shokbaba area of Sumlar in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Kashmir Zone Police took to Twitter to confirm the news. However, the body of the terrorist is yet to be recovered.

It is believed that two to three terrorists are still trapped.
During the encounter, there was heavy firing from the enemy side. Additional reinforcements were rushed to the spot and then, at around 2 PM, the troops laid a siege around the house in which the terrorists were hiding.
The operation is still ongoing as the security forces are receiving more inputs about other terrorists in the area.
