Bengaluru: There is a sudden increase in the H1N1 (swine flu) cases reported in the city. On Tuesday evening, 89 cases of swine flu have been confirmed, according to an official from the state health department. Overall in the state of Karnataka, so far there have been 400 cases reported.
Dr. Shashidhar Buggi of Buggis Heart and Lung Care Centre said that this sudden increase in swine flu is because of the change in weather. He also said nowadays people are not ready to sit at home and take proper rest when they go out they are spreading their infection to many more people. This is another reason for the sudden increase in disease.
He also said that there is “no reason to panic” and the situation is being closely monitored.
Swine flu is an infection caused by a specific virus. It's named for a virus that pigs can get. People normally don't get swine flu, but human infections can and do happen.
