Karnataka: Newlywed couple threatens cops, attempts suicide in front of police station (Video)

Man and woman from different castes married against the wishes of their family members. They complained of receiving threat from the groom's family. The couple splashed petrol on them and threatened to set each other on fire if their issue is unheard by police officials. The couple, Hemanth Kumar and Chaitra from Dandighanahalli, Kolar subdivision, Karnataka, said they were issued threats by Hemanth's parents Shrinivas, Muniratnamma and brother Karthik as they allegedly assaulted pregnant Chaitra.
