It is said that Bhavani Revanna, wife of Karnataka's PWD minister HD Revanna, is making efforts to bring in BJP MLA MP Kumaraswamy, a two-time MLA from Mudigere into the JD(S) fold. Kumaraswamy won from reserved assembly seat by defeating Congress heavyweight and former minister C Motamma.

Amid the drama created by ruling coalition (JD(S) and Congress) of alleged horse trading by BJP to reportedly topple the government, there is a fresh twist to this game. JD(S) leader and daughter-in-law of HD Deve Gowda is said to be involved in horse trading too.

BJP may be accused of poaching over 12 MLAs from the ruling camp now. However, it is said that Bhavani Revanna, wife of PWD minister HD Revanna, is making efforts to bring in BJP MLA MP Kumaraswamy, a two-time MLA from Mudigere into the JD(S) fold. Kumaraswamy won from reserved assembly seat by defeating Congress heavyweight and former minister C Motamma.

BJP leader and spokesperson S Prakash denied such reports terming this development as a ploy to divert the attention from differences creeping into the coalition.

"No one from BJP will crossover. This is just a strategy of the JD(S), which was pushed into the third position in the recently concluded assembly election."

However, JD(S) MLC TA Sharavana agreed about the party being in touch with leaders from Hassan and and Chikkamaglur district.

"The legislators from the rival party have spoken to our leaders from Hassan, but that does not mean we are indulging in horse trading. We have the numbers and will run the government without worry."

Although, both BJP and JD(S) leaders deny about Bhavani Revanna's involvement in trying to rope in Mudigere MLA Kumaraswamy, sources say both HD Revanna and his wife Bhavani are trying hard to bring BJP leader into the JD(S) camp to strengthen their fight to capture the Chikkamaglur Lok Sabha seat.

Both Bhavani Revanna and BJP MLA MP Kumaraswamy were not available for comment.
