Karnataka: Conman uses real doctor's certificate, gives same tablet to all patients, gets salary (Video)

A man in Gadag, Karnataka, used the certificate of a real MBBS doctor and got a job at a government hospital. He posed as a doctor and gave a tablet or two to any patient who walked in, leaving the staff shocked, for they realised his ignorance. The incident occurred at Community Health Centre, Lakshmeshwara in Gadag district. A man whose name is not known yet, posed as Dr Vikas Patil and obtained a job at the government-run health centre. After getting appointed, he always used to ask the nurses to administer injections and gave a tablet or two to the patients. Most of the time, he was aloof and avoided contact with any staff. He earned a salary of Rs 46,000 each month for three months. It is said that he even got married to a girl from Haveri on September 6. But it was found that Dr Vikas Patil was a real person pursuing MD after completing MBBS, when the real person's father filed a case in this regard. Vikas's friends found this out and informed his father about the conman taking the name of his son. After the issue became public, the conman is absconding and there is no information available about him, including his name.
