Karnataka Anganwadi workers protest against termination, suspensions

Bidar: Zilla Panchayat CEO Mahanthesh Bilagi's surprise raid on Anganwadis resulted in the termination of one woman from the job and suspension of 12 Anganwadi workers in Bidar. The action was taken for not delivering food to the students from three months under government scheme. The Anganwadi workers alleged that it was not their mistake but the higher-ups. The Anganwadi workers are protesting in front of the Zilla Panchayat office in Bidar against their termination. Despite protesting at night on roadside, no police protection was given to the protesting women.
