Sullia: On Wednesday (October 24) tension and violence was witnessed near Kukke Subramanya temple, Sullia, Dakshina Kannada district, Karnataka. Hindu activist Chaithra Kundapur and Hindu Jagarana Vedike (HJV) secretary Guruprasad argued with each other. As it turned unpleasant, Chaithra allegedly began assaulting Guruprasad. This led to clashes between two groups. A case has been registered in Subramanya police station, and Chaithra and her companions are taken into custody. In this regard, on the pretext of the assault on Guruprasad, the traders and members of local organisations called for a bandh on Thursday (October 25).
