Karnataka: 12-year-old bodybuilder flexes muscles against senior pros

12-year-old Vinay Akki has won silver in the state bodybuilding championship, by contesting against senior professional bodybuilders. Vinay hails from Gadag district in Karnataka and is a Class 8 student. Vinay started training for bodybuilding at six years of age. He is a celebrity taking part in bodybuilding competitions during Kannada Rajyotsava, Gadag Utsav and Mysuru Dasara. He has won many accolades in those events. Vinay's father Vinod owns a gym in Gadag and he is the trainer for his celebrity son. Vinay is also shining in Karate and Martial Arts too and has participated in national level events. In fact, when father is not around Vinay also acts as a trainer in the gym. He is not supposed to go near fried food or junk food. His diet includes lot of eggs, vegetables and dry fruits.
