Kannur BJP office set on fire, one seriously injured

Kannur: A BJP worker was injured in Kannur after the Puthiyatheru party office was set on fire. The worker, identified as Suresh, was shifted to Pariyaram Medical College for treatment. The doctors said that he had sustained 40% burn injuries. The BJP has alleged that the CPI-M was behind the attack. Kannur district is infamous for political violence between the BJP and CPM with a history of over three decades.
