Arguing on behalf of Tamil Nadu government Advocate General Narayan said that the video proof provided by Amrutha was fake. He said that the video clip was from an award function attended by Jayalalithaa.
Tamil Nadu's late chief minister J Jayalalithaa had never become pregnant, clarified AIADMK with regards to a claim made by Bengaluru-based Amrutha that she was her daughter.
The case in this regard is with the Madras High Court. The court had asked if Jayalalithaa was ever pregnant and if there is any proof of it. Advocate General Vijay Narayan is arguing the case on behalf of the Tamil Nadu government.
Amrutha had filed a case in this regard with the Supreme Court, stating that she is Jayalalithaa's daughter. She was even ready for DNA test, but the Supreme Court had rejected the case. Thus Amrutha filed a case with the Madras High Court.
Arguing on behalf of Tamil Nadu government Advocate General Narayan said that the video proof provided by Amrutha was fake. He said that the video clip was from an award function attended by Jayalalithaa. Amrutha had filed an affidavit that she was born in August 1980. But the video clipping is from the function held in July 1980 and there are no signs of Jayalalithaa being pregnant in this video.
Also reacting to Amrutha's claims that Jayalalithaa's funeral was not held according to Hindu Iyengar rituals, Narayan said that all rules have been followed during the final rites of the former TN chief minister.
AG Vijay Narayan has challenged Amrutha to conduct a DNA test and match it with the close family of Jayalalithaa.
