Army jawan injured in Kupwara district's Tangdhar sector in ceasefire violation by Pakistan

Srinagar: An Indian army soldier was injured in sniper fire by Pakistan Rangers along the Line of Control in north Kashmir’s Tangdhar sector.

Pakistan Rangers resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation along LoC and opened sniper fire upon the Indian Army's Tikri post along the LoC in Tanghdar in the early morning hours.

Sources told MyNation that at around 4.30 in the morning, Pakistan Rangers targeted Indian posts and fired a few sniper shots aimed at Indian jawans. In this ceasefire violation along the LoC, an Army soldier identified as Koshal Pal Singh was injured. He was moved to the military hospital of Drugmulla for further treatment.

A week ago, an Army soldier was killed in sniper fire by Pakistan Rangers at the Tanghdar sector along the Line of Control in Kupwara district.

This comes barely a day after sector command-level peace talks were held between the BSF and Pakistan Rangers.
