Kashmir: 3 terrorists surrender in Kupwara after returning from PoK terror camps

Kupwara: The Indian Army, along with Jammu and Kashmir police, arrested three local terrorists from the Line of Control (LoC) in Tanghdar area of Kupwara district of north Kashmir on Sunday.

All the three youth were from Bandipora district and had crossed over to the other side of LoC last year to get terror training in camps operating in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. 

Army jawans of 17 Bihar regiment guarding the LoC in Tanghdar sector arrested the three while they were infiltrating into Indian territory.

Sources told MyNation that all three local men were fed up with terrorism after getting trained in PoK terror camps and surrendered themselves after crossing the LoC into the Indian side.

A senior police official told MyNation that the three arrested have been identified as Wakeel Ahmad Dar (son of Mohammad Ramzan Dar of Bankote, Bandipora), Sajad Ahmad Khawaja (son of Habibullah Khawaja of Bankote, Bandipora) and Mohammad Shafi Bhat (son of Mohammad Abdullah Bhat). 

"A case has been registered under FIR number 69/2018 and they have been booked under section 69/2018 under section 2/3 E & IMCO and 13 ULA Act", he added.

Sources also told MyNation that all three men were affiliated to terror outfits Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen and Hizbul Mujahideen.
