Srinagar: On Monday night, terrorists attacked a CRPF vehicle while targeting the security forces.
Terrorists threw a grenade at the CRPF's 183 battalion camp last night, after which a fight broke out between the terrorists and the security forces.
SSP Pulwama Chandan Kohli said that the terrorists attacked the CRPF camp with grenades after which they started firing on the camp. CRPF jawans retaliated with firing but a CRPF jawan got injured in it.
The injured jawan was taken to the nearby district hospital. From there, he was later transferred to Army's 92 Base Hospital where his condition is said to be stable.
Terror organisation Jaish-e-Mohammad has taken the responsibility for this terrorist attack, saying that they have taken revenge for the death of his commander Ali and the rest.
In a message issued by Hizbul Mujahideen, it has been said that by shooting at the CRPF camp at night, they killed two CRPF jawans.
Threatening the security forces, they also said that this is the beginning of their retribution of Jaish-e-Mohammed commander Ali’s death as well as that of the rest of the terrorists.
The area has been cordoned off as other security agencies, including the Army, have joined the operation to track down the militants.
