Terrorists carried out the attack at around 10.30am on the D-177 battalion of the CRPF deployed at Sangrama Chowk of Sopore
Srinagar: Four people, including three CRPF jawans and a civilian were injured in a grenade attack carried out by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district on Tuesday.
Terrorists carried out the attack at around 10.30am on the D-177 battalion of the CRPF deployed at Sangrama Chowk of Sopore.
SSP of Sopore, Javid Iqbal while speaking to MyNation said, "Terrorists have attacked a CRPF party at Sangrama Chowk. Jawans have received minor injuries and have been shifted to a nearby hospital."
He added, "There were grenade splinter injuries. We have cordoned the nearby areas off to nab the terrorists."
The injured civilian has been identified as Hilal Ahmed Khandey, who is a local resident.
Right after the attack on the CRPF battalion, the area has been cordoned off and a manhunt has been launched to nab the terrorists.
