Pulwama: An encounter broke out between Security forces and terrorists on Wednesday morning in Pulwama village of south Kashmir.
Sources told MyNation that the terrorists attacked the patrolling party of Army's 55 Rashtriya Rifles when it was passing through Hajidarpora area of Pulwama district. "After the attack, Army jawans retaliated, triggering an encounter," the sources added.
SSP Pulwama Chandan Kohli also confirmed on the phone that there was some exchange of fire between the Army and the terrorists in Hajidarpoora area of Pulwama district.
Arjun Kumar, a daily wager working in Srinagar, was shot in the head during the firing. He later succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. Kumar was a resident of Uttar Pradesh.
The security forces have cordoned off the entire area to nab the terrorists.
