Indore businessman Sandeep Agarwal shot dead in busy street

Indore businessman and owner of a local TV channel Sandeep Agarwal was shot dead at Vijay Nagar square at 7pm on Wednesday. Sandeep was walking out of his building and was about to open the door of his SUV, when two men who were lying in wait fired at least six rounds of bullets into him. After he collapsed, they fled the scene, when a third assailant sprinted and fired two more rounds of bullets before the four (including the driver) sped away in a white hatchback. The footage was captured by CCTV cameras at the Cross Roads Building business complex. He was rushed to hospital but couldn't survive as his vital organs were severely damaged. The motive of the fatal assault has not been ascertained, but it is suspected that Sandeep was involved in high-profile property deals. Sandeep usually did not travel without his bodyguards but was alone the day he was shot.
