Indian Army slays Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist in Kashmir after attack on patrol party

The security forces gunned down one local terrorist belonging to terror outfit Hizbul Mujahideen after they managed to foil an attack on an Indian Amry’s 55 Rashtriya Rifles patrol party

Srinagar: A terrorist was killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday.

The security forces gunned down one local terrorist after they managed to foil an attack on an Indian Amry’s 55 Rashtriya Rifles patrol party.

Sources told MyNation that the patrolling party was moving through Choudribagh Litter area of the district when the terrorists opened fire on them.

According to reports, no Army jawan has been injured in the attack.

The slain terrorist has been identified as Irfan Ahmed and he belonged to terror outfit Hizbul Mujahideen. The Army had cordoned off the whole area and door-to-door search operations are underway to gun down the other terrorists who were in the group.

This is the second attack on the Army and its establishments this year. Earlier, terrorists had targeted an Army camp in Bandipora district.
