In a major retaliatory action against Pakistani Army, Indian Army killed two Pakistani soldiers in Tanghdar sector of north Kashmir's Kupwara district on Tuesday, after the neighbouring troops violated ceasefire in the area.
Sources in the Army told My Nation that around 7:10 am Pakistani Army started shelling and firing on Indian positions in Anil post, Cheetak Post, and Black Rock post with small arms along the Line of Control. The assault lasted for nearly an hour.
“The Pakistanis used mortars, small arms and automatics to target Indian positions. Indian positions retaliated effectively and strongly,” added the source.
Dishing out more information, the source said that the Indian side didn’t suffer any casualties or damage.
“There were reports that Pakistan army also tried to push infiltrators into the Indian territory during ceasefire violations but their attempts were foiled as Indian troops did not allow the armed Pakistani terrorist come close to LoC,” he said
Defense Spokesman Rajesh Kalia confirmed the news and told My Nation that two Pakistani soldiers were killed in a calibrated operation, which was a retaliatory action to unprovoked ceasefire violations and repeated attempts to facilitate infiltration by Pakistan Army in Tangdhar Sector.

Meanwhile, the Army has launched a massive combing operation to flush out the terrorists, who are believed to be hiding in the area.
On Monday, a soldier of 20 Jat at Jal LP post along the LoC in Tanghdar was killed in sniper attack by Pakistan.
