New Delhi: Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte arrived in New Delhi on Tuesday to hold a one-on-one meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Italian PM is scheduled to also take part in the India-Italy Technology Summit, organised by the Department of Science & Technology (DST) in partnership with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
During his visit, PM Conte will hold talks with PM Modi to boost cooperation in key areas such as trade and investment. PM Conte wants to integrate Leonardo, the new defence company, with PM Modi’s ‘Make in India’ programme.
In the India-Italy Technology Summit, PM Modi welcomed his Italian counterpart, who is on a one-day visit to India.
Conte's India visit is a part of the ongoing celebrations to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Italy.
