Country celebrates Guru Nanak Jayanti today

Guru Nanak Jayanti will be celebrated in the country on November 23. It marks the birth of Guru Nanak Sahib and falls on Kartik Puranmashi or full moon day of the month of Kartik, Indian calendar. Guru Nanak was the founder of Sikhism. It is celebrated with great zeal across the Sikh community and is a popular festival of Punjab.
