Income Tax officials raid 74 locations including Saravana Stores in Tamil Nadu

Chennai: Income Tax officials conducted raids in 74 locations across Tamil Nadu. Most of the locations searched were real estate firms and textile companies. At least 70 I-T officials are conducting the raids in connection with a tax evasion probe. One of the major locations where the raids are being conducted is Saravana Stores, a retail chain owned by Yogirathinam Pondurai. The raids were also conducted at 74 other locations linked to the Saravana Stores and the Lotus Group. 72 locations are in Chennai and two in Coimbatore. Raids were conducted on Revathi Stores too. The I-T sleuths had raided stores including Hot Breads, Grand Sweets and Snacks in Anjappar on January 3.
