Hyderabad's citizens were so elated with Ikea opening in their city that virtually everyone ended up going to HITEC City
Swedish furniture giant Ikea opened its first outlet at Hyderabad in India. The citizens were so elated that Hyderabad was chosen that virtually everyone in the city decided to head to HITEC City. This caused a massive traffic jam.
Ikea boasts of a 1000-seater restaurant. This could be a reason for the massive rush. A picture of the jam has gone viral. Check the sarcastic tweets:
