After the worm in vegetable biriyani, now another customer has found a fly inside the chocolate cake ordered from IKEA, Hyderabad.

Reacting to the same, IKEA spokesperson told India Today that the Swedish furniture company regrets the inconvenience. "A fly was seen on the cake, which eventually flew away. We regret and apologise for the unfortunate experience." He also clarified that no sample was collected by Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) nor the company has been slapped with fine or notice by the corporation. Action was not taken may be because the fly flew away and the sample could not be collected.
However, IKEA was fined Rs 5,000 by the GHMC for cleanliness issues. This inspection was conducted after a customer Tweeted a photo of a caterpillar inside the vegetable biriyani.
Following this, the company was also slapped with a fine of Rs 11,500 in this regard and it stopped the supply of vegetable biriyani and also its famous samosas.
