Halageri: Land that has given birth to 150 soldiers

Gadag: Halageri is a tiny hamlet in the district of Gadag in Karnataka. The hamlet has around 4000 households. And as interesting as it may sound, it has given birth to more than 150 soldiers, who are guarding our borders. Every mother here promises to send her son to the Indian Army as soon as he is born.

As the Pulwama attack shattered the whole of India, with more than 40 soldiers being martyred, these villagers wanted a sweet revenge. Now that the Indian Air Force destroyed the terrorist base camps, inflicting massive damage, these villagers are happy, like any other Indian.
