The deceased have been identified as Ritu, 38 and Dhruv, 18, wife and son of Additional District Judge Shrikant.
According to eyewitnesses, after shooting Ritu, Singh kicked her multiple times and even screamed abuses. When her son Dhruv tried to stop him, Singh aimed the gun at him and shot him thrice.
Officials close to the investigation have said that Singh was suffering from mental health issues. He had applied for a leave to go home, which was denied by the judge. The police said that Singh did not like to work for the family and ‘felt possessed’ when he was shooting the two.
