Facebook love: Tamil Nadu girl kills mother for resisting her plans to elope

Thiruvallur: Police arrested three people for murdering Banumathi in Tamil Nadu. 18-year-old Devi Priya and her friends murdered her mother Banumathi, 50- year old woman in Thiruvallur on Monday evening. 

Devi Priya was in a relationship with Vivek of Kumbakonam through Facebook. A few days ago, Priya requested Vivek to take her to his hometown. As Vivek was busy with his work, he sent two of his friends Satish and Vignesh to Devi Priya’s house. 

On seeing Priya packing her things up, Banumathi questioned her. She revealed her plans to elope with her lover. When Banumathi stopped her, Priya reportedly took a kitchen knife and stabbed her. The two youngsters helped her in murdering Banumathi. They are all arrested by the police. Banumathi was rushed to the hospital, but succumbed to injuries.
