The event organised by the European Union seeks to connect European higher education institutes with Indian students
New Delhi: With Indian students more eager to explore their opportunities across the seven seas, the European Union is organising an education fair beginning Thursday to connect European higher education institutes with Indian students.
"This is the third edition of the EU Higher Education Virtual Fair a unique opportunity to connect some of the best European academic institutions with Indian students. At any point of time, there are more than 50,000 Indian students pursuing education endeavours in Europe," Ambassador of the EU to India Tomasz Kozlowski said.
Through a series of web-based seminars, the students will get an opportunity to explore a wide range of education courses offered by 54 leading universities from 20 countries of the European Union (EU).
In the course of four days, aspiring students can interact directly with officials from higher education institutions (HEIs) in the web seminars.
Kozlowski also said over the years, increasing number of Indian students have started looking at European Universities due to unparalleled quality, diversity and opportunities it offers them.
"We are going to have 40 web-based seminar sessions over four days. I am hopeful that more Indian students will make the best use of this opportunity and explore education opportunities with Europe," he added.
Since 2015, the EU has been organising the virtual education fair promoting Europe as a destination for higher education and research for Indian students and academic community.
