Earthquake strikes Delhi-NCR, Twitterati say ‘it was intense’

Several people took to Twitter after feeling the mild tremors. No loss of life or damage to property has been reported yet.

New Delhi: A 4.0 magnitude earthquake had hit Delhi and parts of NCR on Wednesday. Tremors were felt in other parts of north India too at around 8 am. 

The earthquake had its epicenter at 44 kms southwest of Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar district, according to European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).

Another earthquake struck Tajikistan at around 7:05 am. The epicenter was in Kofarnihon at a depth of 10kms, reported the United States Geological Survey (USGS). 

Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan also experienced the jolt. 

Several people took to Twitter after feeling the mild tremors. 

No loss of life or damage to property has been reported yet.

On February 8, an earthquake measuring a magnitude of 3.9 struck Haryana. According to reports, the epicentre of the quake was Mahendragarh district in Haryana. There weren’t any reports of casualties.
