DMK chief Karunandihi's health improves, Stalin closes door during meeting with doctors

Doctors from Kauvery Hospital have stated that Karunanidhi's blood pressure is normal now and there is improvement in his overall health too.

After a tense night with family and fans anxiously waiting for updates on DMK patriarch M Karunanidhi's health which had again become critical, the doctors, on Monday (30 July), confirmed that he is responding to the treatment.

They have stated that Karunanidhi's blood pressure is normal now and there is improvement in his overall health too.

Karunanidhi's son and DMK vice-president MK Stalin is apprising the family and people about Karunanidhi's health.

The doctors at Chennai’s Kauvery Hospital, where Karunandhi is being treated, are explaining the health conditions of him to the family.

Senior DMK leader Duraimurugan, TR Balu, Kanimozhi, A Raja are also with Stalin inside the hospital.

Meanwhile, Health Secretary Radhakrishnan reached the hospital, following a call from Chief Minister E Palaniswamy, to check on the former chief minister's health.

The Health Secretary has convened a meeting of the doctors treating Karunandhi to make sure that all the facilities including oxygen, medicine in the Kauvery Hospital are intact and available.

The Palaniswamy-led government has promised full support to Karunanidhi in terms of treatment. At one instance, it is said that during a discussion with doctors, Stalin closed the door on those waiting outside.
