On Saturday, Bengal BJP chief Dilip Ghosh had stated at a press conference that Mamata Banerjee was the frontrunner for the post of the PM
Kolkata: Bengal BJP chief Dilip Ghosh made an audacious U-turn only 12 hours after saying at a press conference that Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee is best placed to become the next Prime Minister.
"As long as Modi is around, Mamata can't achieve her dream of becoming PM. I said what I said just 'jokingly'," Ghosh told MyNation.

On Saturday, Ghosh dropped a bomb by terming the Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief as a frontrunner for the post of the Prime Minister. Ghosh announced, "We want her to be fit so that she can work well. She needs to remain fit because if there is any Bengali who has the chance to be the PM from this state, she is the one. So she must remain healthy."
"Now that a Bengali Pranab Mukherjee became the President of India, it's time for another Bengali to become the Prime Minister," Ghosh added.
Will this U-turn now help to undo the peception damage that Ghosh has suffered? Only time will tell.
