Kochi: The South Indian actress who was attacked last year allegedly according to a plan by Malayalam actor Dileep opposed the petition filed by actresses Rachana Narayanankutty and  Honey Rose to join as parties in the case.

Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) president Mohanlal has broken his silence over the re-induction of Dileep into the film body. Dileep is one of the accused in the kidnap and assault case of a South Indian actress.

Regarding this, the actress, who was allegedly attacked in Kochi last year, and three others including Geethu Mohandas, Rima Kallingal and Remya Nambeesan quit the Women in Cinema Collective (WCC) of AMMA.

The two AMMA executive members Honey Rose and Rachana Narayanankutty had submitted the request at the High Court on 3 August. They had requested to join as parties in the case as representatives of AMMA.

Their petition had also demanded to replace the public prosecutor. They had asked to designate a prosecutor who has at least 25 years of experience. They had also sought a special court and a woman judge.

However, the advocate of the victim informed the court that she doesn’t require any legal help to fight the case in the court. The advocate also mentioned that the actress is no longer part of the AMMA association and hence no one needs to join as parties in her case. She also asked not to approve their request for a new public prosecutor.

The victim told the court that the current prosecutor was appointed with her consultation.

Meanwhile, Kerala state government informed the court that the public prosecutor was appointed after considering the opinion of the actress. They mentioned that he is well experienced and has dealt with many important cases.
