Dalit girl alleges misconduct by upper caste cook of midday meals

A Dalit girl in Udaipur has alleged that a woman cook in her school discriminated against her by scolding her for 'touching' the midday meal the woman had cooked for school children. The incident occurred on 2 July in the government higher primary school, Utarda, in Salumbar area of Udaipur.  The woman allegedly misbehaved when the girl, belonging to the caste of Meghwal, touched the utensils n which the food was kept
