The BJP has called for a state-wide bandh in Kerala over Sabarimala row. Karnataka MP Shobha Karandlaje has said that CPI(M) are hand in glove with urban naxals to defame Hindu tradition. This is an attack on Hindu dharma, says BJP leader Kota Shrinivas Poojari.
Sabarimala: After two women entered the Sabarimala temple in the early hours of Wednesday, angry reactions poured in from different quarters.
The BJP, which has stood by the sentiments of the Hindu devotees of Lord Ayyappa, is seeing red. The party leaders have called for a state-wide bandh in Kerala. "This is a hidden plan of CPI(M)," said Sreedharan Pillai, BJP Kerala president.
The two women, who entered the famous shrine, are identified as Bindu from Kozhikode and Kanakadurga from Malappuram. The two had earlier made a failed attempt to trek Sabarimala, and now the duo has had their darshan of the Lord on Wednesday at 3.30 AM.
BJP leader from Karnataka, Shobha Karandlaje, took to twitter to express her angst.
"Who is responsible for the closing of sabarimala temple today ?? Lakhs of devotees are waiting for Darshan. Who will do arrangements for their stay in sabarimala till the temple is open? @cpimspeak govt & police are hand-in-glove with the urban naxals to defame Hindu traditions, (SIC)" she wrote.
