The Congress, which is preparing for State elections that are likely to be held in November this year, has deployed its prominent face Priyanka Chaturvedi as part of a two-member team to select spokespersons for Rajasthan

“Who do you like between Sachin Pilot and Ashok Gehlot?” and “how will you counter Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remark that Congress is a party of Muslims?” are the kind of questions the Congress is asking its future spokespersons in the election-bound state of Rajasthan.

The party, which is preparing for polls that are likely to be held in November this year, has deployed its prominent face Priyanka Chaturvedi as part of a two-member team to select spokespersons for the State.

"

Both Rajasthan Pradesh Congress chief Pilot and former chief minister Gehlot are being seen as strong contenders for the chief minister's post if the Congress comes back to power in the State. "Both the leaders are seen as separate power centres in the State. Candidates were in a tricky situation; they gave balanced replies instead of showing an inclination towards any of the leaders,” party sources told MyNation.

“Interviewers asked me about the quality of both the leaders. I was also asked whom I personally like,” a candidate Vichar Vyas said.

While the BJP under chief minister Vasundhara Raje is facing issues from within her party over governance issues, the Congress seems to be grappling with factionalism in the party.
