Chandrababu Naidu's one-upmanship: Wants Andhra Assembly to 'tower' over Statue of Unity

Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu severed ties with BJP alleging that the Centre was not ready to grant special category status to Andhra. But now, with plans set to build the Assembly building that would measure 68 meters, aiming to be taller than the Statue of Unity, what is Naidu trying to prove? While the state is fighting for special category status, why would Naidu burden the state exchequer?
