Andhra Pradesh Chief minister Chandrababu Naidu has gone on to politicise the terror attack on our CRPF personnel. The chief minister has taken a dig at the Narendra Modi led BJP government. Speaking in relation to the recent terror attacks in Pulwama, Naidu was trying to hint that the Centre had put national security at risk.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu has chosen to politicise the barbaric terror attack on more than 40 of our country's CRPF men by stating that the Telugu Desam Party would never compromise with national security.
The Chief minister's remarks came just days after a suicide bomber rammed into a CRPF convoy. Naidu's statements suggested that the BJP had orchestrated the attack, as he went on to say that it will not be tolerated if the country is pledged for political gain. The CM didn't stop at that, he even blamed the BJP for the political turmoil in Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking to MyNation, BJP chief spokesperson, Krishna Saagar Rao stated that politicising such an incident is a "colossal disgrace". Rao also said, "Politics must be kept in its place and time instead of making it pervasive. This is a historic low."
The AP chief minister had also cited the example of Godhra riots and even went to the extent of calling it a genocide. However, it appears as if Chandrababu Naidu is more intent on blaming PM Modi than anything else, analysts said.
Krishna Saagar Rao questioned Chandrababu Naidu for politicising death whether it was the Pulwama or the Godhra. Rao also questioned Naidu's alliance with the BJP, "Mr Chandrababu Naidu was with the NDA back then. There is no relation between the Godhra incident and the BJP, even the probe findings have revealed that. Why is Chandrababu Naidu politicising death?"
Chandrababu Naidu is not the only person to have made such remarks at this hour of grief. Even West Bengal chief minister, Mamata Banerjee had courted controversy after she questioned the timing of the terror attack. She went on to link it to the Lok Sabha polls. Mamata Banerjee even pointed fingers at the BJP and RSS for creating communal tension in the wake of the Pulwama terror attack.
On February 14, the country lost 40 CRPF personnel when a suicide bomber in a loaded SUV rammed into a convoy of over 2500 personnel. The terror outfit Jaish-e-mohammed had claimed responsibility for the attack. The SUV was driven by a 20-year-old who had joined the terror outfit last year. On 18 February, the Indian Security forces cornered and gunned down two Jaish-e-mohammed terrorists, one of who was the mastermind behind the attack on the convoy. The JeM terrorists shot one civilian in whose house they were holed up.
