Out of prison, cab driver arrested after 35 burglaries in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh

Ornaments and cash worth Rs 8.6 lakh has been seized from Basavaraju. Reports claim that his work as cab driver did not fetch him enough money to lead a luxurious life, so he resorted to burglaries.
 

Driver Nara Basavaraju was caught by Telangana police on charges of 35 burglaries in the state as well as in Andhra Pradesh.

Tirupati resident, 40-year-old Basavaraju, was arrested by Rachakonda police at Chintalkunta crossroads. He is booked for burglaries in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana since 2001.

Ornaments worth Rs 8.6 lakh have been seized from the accused, apart from 140 grams of gold, 90 grams of silver and Rs 62,000 in cash.  

He was released from central prison in Nandyal in June, this year.  Soon after the release, he was booked for robberies at Jawaharnagar, Medipally and LB Nagar police station limits. He was also booked for burglaries at China Chowk Town in Kadapa district.

Reports claimed that his job as cab driver did not fetch him enough money to lead a luxurious life, so he resorted to burglaries.
