Jammu: National president of BJP's Scheduled Caste (SC) Morcha and MP Vinod Sonkar Wednesday called for greater participation of the community to achieve the goal of 'New India'.
"The BJP has given due representation to SCs at every platform The SC community has to play a vital role in the next year's parliament elections in the formation of New India," Sonkar said in a meeting of the state BJP SC Morcha at the party headquarters here.
He said the party's vision of "Antodaya" would ensure the uplifting of every neglected and downtrodden section of society.
"The responsibility of making right choice lies upon the morcha members by taking the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA government to common masses," he said.

Saroop Chand Rajan, in-charge of the state SC Morcha who also addressed the meeting, said only the BJP has given "true representation" to the persons belonging to the SC community.
"We must all contribute towards greater India. We must reach out to the inner circles of the SC community for understanding its needs and to meet its expectations," he said.
Senior BJP leader and MP Jugal Kishore Sharma said the party is committed to work for every sect, section and region without any prejudice and would ensure that every person gets ample opportunity for dignified living in accordance with the principle of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas".
