Patna: Bihar Police have arrested the principal and the clerk of a school in Phulwari Sharif, Patna, in connection with a case of rape of a Class 5 student.
The accused raped the 11-year-old girl repeatedly over a period of 9 months and impregnated her. The incident came to light only when her parents took her to the doctor after she complained of nausea and pain. After a medical test, it was found that she was two-months pregnant.
It was also revealed that the clerk allegedly filmed the act and blackmailed the victim.
Patna senior superintendent of police Manu Maharaj confirmed the incident and said that both of the accused had been arrested as soon as the victim’s parents brought the case to their notice.
Initial investigation revealed that the school principal used to call the victim on the pretext of checking her handwriting and daily homework and sexually abuse her in a rest-room adjacent to his office.
A photo of the principal with the victim was found on the principal’s phone.
The school has been sealed and a case under the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act has been filed.
