Though the SBI office functioned yesterday (Tuesday), today, the attackers barged into the office and asked the officials to stop working. This was followed by a fight between the officers and the protesters.

Later, the mob of attackers barged into the cabin of the manager and damaged computers, mobile phones and office tables. The manager has lodged a complaint with Thiruvananthapuram Cantonment police station. He told the media that the bank would not be able to function for the day due to fear of further attacks.

Meanwhile, as the leaders had said that they would only be picketing railway stations and not blocking trains, the promise proved to be false.
